WAG Wednesdays: Macro Tracking at Chipotle

When you’re on the go, tracking your macros can be a headache, but it doesn’t have to be. Thankfully, there are restaurants with healthy options to help you stay on track. We took a visit and calculated the macros for three orders at one of our faves — Chipotle! So next time you’re looking for convenient, macro-friendly options you can pull this out of your toolkit.

Pro Tips:

  • Ask for your salad/bowl ingredients separately, so you can weigh your ingredients at home for precise macro tracking.
  • If you’re holding off on fats, skip the guac, sour cream and cheese.
  • Use the Chipotle nutrition calculator if you want another tool to track your order.

Meal 1: Double Chicken Burrito*
Ingredients (vary depending on how you like your burrito):

  • 2 tortillas: 1 tortilla is around 350 cal, 9 g fat, 50 g carbs (If they start to double wrap your burrito, ask them to rewrap it in one to avoid sneaky extra calories)
  • Chicken
  • Rice
  • Salsa
  • Beans
  • Corn

Total calories per serving: 1070 cal
(Serving size: 1 burrito - 720 g)
Protein: 86 g
Fat: 31 g
Carbs: 123 g
*This meal is likely to be the least accurate since everything is wrapped up.

Meal 2: Chicken Burrito Salad
Ingredients (vary depending on how you like your salad):

  • Corn
  • Salsa
  • Lettuce
  • Chicken
  • Guacamole (on the side)

Total calories per serving: 295 cal
(Serving size: 1 salad - 13.5 ounces)
Protein: 36 g
Fat: 9 g
Carbs: 22 g

Meal 3: Steak Burrito Bowl
Ingredients (vary depending on how you like your bowl):
All on the side (about 4 ounces each):

  • Rice
  • Salsa
  • Cheese
  • Black beans
  • Corn
  • Grilled veggies
  • Steak

Total calories per serving: 1254 cal
(Serving size: 1 bowl - 33 ounces)
Protein: 77 g
Fat: 54 g
Carbs: 119 g
