I joined WAG to lose weight, tone up, feel great in my own skin, fuel my performance, and feel healthy overall - physically and mentally! I have lost 14.6 lbs so far!
I would be truly lost without WAG and my coach. Over the past 9 months, I have learned so much from my coach regarding health, fitness, and fueling my body appropriately. I wanted to not only look great but FEEL great in my own skin. My coach and WAG has completely transformed my mentality when it comes to fitness and nutrition. Not only have I experienced a physical transformation but most importantly the mental transformation that has taken place for me thanks to my coach has been what I believe has contributed even more to the progress I have made and will continue to make.
When I started WAG, I was SO UNHAPPY with the way I looked and with my performance at the gym. I disliked the way I looked, I felt awful every day (sore, in pain, like I got hit by a bus), felt uncomfortable in my own skin, and no matter how much I DIDN’T eat and how much I worked out – I kept gaining weight. My coach quickly emphasized that change has to happen from a place of LOVE and acceptance – only then will change truly occur. She has taught me to reframe my thinking when it comes to nutrition and my body. Viewing food as FUEL, listening to my body and being kind to it in the process, acknowledging that progress is NOT linear, prioritizing rest and recovery, and most importantly realizing that the thoughts I put into my head about myself, my body, and this process are JUST AS IMPORTANT as the food I put into my body.
I remember the first set of macros she gave me and how UNCOMFORTABLE they made me feel. I thought to myself “this is a lot of food – how is this possible?”. I addressed it with her and I just remember her saying “I would NOT misguide you – do you trust me?” At that point I knew I had to commit and TRUST THE PROCESS – so I did. It has been the greatest decision I have ever made. Fast forward 9 months – I am eating even MORE, feeling GREAT, my workouts feel better than ever, and most importantly I am loving the process and loving the way my body feels and what it does for me. This process is truly a journey and my coach continues to remind me each check-in of the main points I believe have made me succeed on this program so far:
- Love, accept and be kind to myself.
- FOOD IS FUEL – food is NOT the enemy.
- Progress is NOT linear.
- My body is amazing and SHOWS UP for me day after day – treat it with respect, rest, and recovery.
- Consistency is KEY.
- Be patient and enjoy the ongoing journey.
I am looking forward to seeing what the future brings and feeling better and better each day. Thank you coach and WAG for changing my life in every possible way.
