My name is Melissa Terry , I am 41 and a Mom of three girls and a competitive runner.
I have been with WAG since June 1,2017. Prior to WAG I was eating very low carbs, high fat and high protein macros. My running was suffering and I Couldn't figure out a good fueling system. I was seeking help with reverse dieting. I knew my nutrition and metabolism was way off. I My Starting weight was 113. This may sound very low to some, but for me it was my highest in a long time. I was so nervous of gaining more weight if I added in more calories and carbs. When I got my first Macros from Coach Kate Hart I was shocked at my numbers, but I put all my trust in her and the process. However I was so fearful of giving up my Saturday Cheat Meal after my long runs. That was something I looked forward to every week. Looking back now, I see that cheat meal was not a meal, it was a binge. This program has taught me that I do have self discipline and control. I no longer go on a Saturday night binge. I can have a treat when ever I want, I just make it fit my macros. I just raced my fall Half Marathon with a PR of 123:38. This would have not happened with out Team WAG.
Going from 30 carbs a day prior to WAG to now 325 a day is glorious. I have not gained any weight. I have lost a few pounds and leaned out. I feel like my old self. This program is NOT a quick fix. It is a tool that I will be able to use my entire life. After seeing my results, my husband has just joined WAG. I cant wait to see how amazing he does!
