WAG has helped me gain an understanding of the proper macro combination that I need to eat in order to feel satiated. I am one of those people who is always hungry. Before starting WAG I would often experience blood sugar "crashes" and even though my belly was full I still felt hungry. After being on WAG I have learned the types of food that satiate me the most and what I needed to eat to sustain my activity level. The type of food I crave has also started to change. I often look forward to eating a lean meat and lots of veggies and a clean starch. Don't get me wrong, I still like to indulge and eat pizza or ice cream, but I now have an understanding of how my body will feel after I eat those things. So I limit those foods because I know they won't necessarily be the most satiating.

Most importantly WAG has taught me an awareness of exactly what I'm putting in my body; foods I often used to think of as "healthy" I now look at differently because I am aware of their macro composition. This gives me a tremendous amount of flexibility so I can choose when I want to indulge in something extra. Additionally, I now have the tools and knowledge to make the best choices when I am eating out at a restaurant. My coach Melanie has been wonderful with knowledge and guidance. Being on the program for almost 2.5 years I have gone through a range of different circumstances from changing my goals to dealing with an injury that kept me from exercising for several months. Throughout all of that Melanie listened to my concerns and adapted my program to suit what was going on in my life at the time. The nutrition WAG teaches is really a lifestyle, not a diet. The things that I have learned from being on the program have helped me make long-term sustainable changes to my nutrition.
