Before joining WAG, I was getting to the point where my diet was limiting my progress training. The time it took me to recover between workouts wasn't consistent because my diet wasn't consistent. This quickly became frustrating because my progress was only vaguely related to how hard I pushed myself in the gym. I had tried counting macros before, but I wasn't consistent enough to see much progress (I didn't realize that at the time though). For me, consistency was the missing link. This is something I've learned with WAG. It was only after joining that I realized how consistent I needed to be in order to be successful. My coach told me to hit my macros within a couple of grams (!). At first, I was reluctant to do so. I was skeptical that it would make a difference, but I suspended my disbelief and did it anyway. After several weeks, I began to see results that I thought were possible in theory, but I hadn't expected to see in real life. It was only because my coach was so insistent that I take this approach that I tried it and subsequently realized how important it was. I wouldn't have realized this without my coach, at least not for a long time (i.e., years). For me, the main issue holding me back was lack of consistency. For others, it might be something else. But regardless of what your background is or what you're struggling with, as long as you're honest with your coach, I believe the coaches at WAG can help you identify weaknesses in your nutrition and overcome them.
