1. To prove to myself that I CAN be the healthiest version of myself and accomplish things I never thought possible
2. To be a better example to my children and husband of what hard work and dedication can accomplish
3. To feel great and to be able to make wise food choices without letting poor food choices control and rule me
4. To be able to motivate the athletes that don’t think they can ( I used to be 220# and a size 18, I could not jump rope, do a burpee, or anything remotely like a pull-up, and now I can.)
I lost 6 pounds, but I am down 2 two pants sizes and receive comments every day on the transformation that folks have seen in just two months.
I have been so very impressed with the WAG program from day one. The goal-setting process is very thorough and every check in with my coach Hilary provides insight and encouragement to stay the course. I am determined not to allow the scale to rule my thoughts and emotions, but rather to enjoy the journey. I love the focus on process goals rather than just outcome goals that Adee has instilled into the program. In just two short months of focusing on nutrition (I was already working out consistently) I have seen amazing changes in my body, but also in my abilities to accomplish things never thought possible. In this year's open, I got not only my first chest to bar pull up, I went on to get 14 more! This is after over one year of trying and trying to get these. I am thankful to my coach Hilary who celebrates every small victory right along side of me! I am a coach at my local gym and I know the excitement of seeing someone accomplish something they did not even imagine possible.
