Cut body fat/ Maintain strength and increase performance
My journey started back in March 2015 when I did my first obstacle course race and at the finish line I was completely embarrassed with how long it took me to finish and how incredibly out of shape I was. Looking back now that’s exactly the slap in the face I needed. I started running and eating cleaner than I was and in a years’ time lost 104 pounds. January 2016 I found CrossFit… boy was I in for a rude awakening. I did no strength training what so ever when I lost the weight and it was INSANE how heavy just the bar felt when I first started. I finally hit that point in the weight loss journey where you get comfortable and started falling back into my old ways, cheating every weekend and gaining weight back, so I decided to give WAG a try. I tried different diets (paleo, low carb, and low calorie) none of which set me up for long term success. When I started WAG it was a little difficult tracking everything but it got a lot easier. I noticed a big increase in energy and my endurance shot through the roof! It has even helped me at work, I sit at a desk all day on a computer the whole time. I’ve noticed that I can get through my daily tasks at work with ease and without hitting that midafternoon wall. I am VERY pleased with the results I have obtained thus far and can’t wait to see where this gets me! Honestly if I can do this so can you, I’ve been on this journey for a while now and have finally realized that no matter how hard your working out, a bad diet is going to slow if not stop the progress you have had.
