Testimonial

Lost 5 Lbs. Took 2 weeks or so to adjust macros for comfort and have added to those macros a time or 2 through out the 17 weeks. I did not have to make any cuts.

I started working out in high school and stuck with those types of traditional weight lifting and cardio work outs through out the years without having any idea about nutrition. I also never really made the progress in strength or physical transformation that I always wanted. I was introduced to crossfit a few years back and thought I found the answer to all my problems. I now had workouts that were being programmed for me and also discovered the Paleo lifestyle. I immediately took to the workouts but quickly found that Paleo was not for me. I was losing weight that I didn't want to lose and also taking too long to recover. My "soreness" became slightly debilitating in that it kept me from doing activities that I enjoy doing. So I scratched strict paleo and added grains and other carbs back into my diet but still had the problem of being sore for days, without making any real gains in the gym. I started WAG with the hope I could figure out how much I really needed to be eating in order to feel good and gain some strength. After following Hayden's instructions for the past 17 weeks I realized that I was eating too much protein and not enough carbs. I was/am a person that would either eat way too much in a day or not nearly enough. I would consume as much protein as humanly possible in a day while lacking on carbs thinking more protein was the key. I'd eat "healthy" during the week and then throw it all down the drain come Friday afternoon through the weekend. There was never a proper balance to what I was consuming for my body to recover from the physical activities I was inflicting on it. There's also been a bit of a learning curve with WAG. I found that I need to eat quality food and drinking my carbs was not only beneficial but detrimental to my success. For me, consistency is what led me to where I am. Feeling good on a daily basis makes doing everything I enjoy outside of the gym that much better. Thank you Hayden for all your help!!
