Goal

Initially fat loss while maintaining strength, then a controlled bulk

Testimonial

First the basics: I was able to lose 30 pounds over the course of roughly 40 weeks, while actually increasing my overall strength and performance in the gym. During the course of the fat loss, I hit lifetime PRs on all of the major lifts such as Back Squat, Front Squat, and Deadlift, as well as a good deal of accessory lifts, conditioning benchmarks, and of course gymnastics (muscle-ups are much easier without a 30 pound vest of fat!). I consider the strength gains no small feat as a more experienced lifter, and attribute it to the incremental adjustments and incredible patience of my WAG coach Francesco. There were many times over the course of the cut that I felt frustrated, wondering why the scale wasn't moving and expecting a major change at my check-in. The patience and professionalism demonstrated by my coach was a huge learning point for me, something that I had never thought to develop in myself before. It seems silly, but sometimes just being told that you're doing everything right and to keep going - even though maybe things aren't working like you expected just yet - provides a huge psychological boost. The fact that he was able to guide me through a 30-lb cut is impressive enough, but while actually increasing my strength ... I think that's probably pretty rare. In addition to the body composition and strength changes, my time with WAG has also provided a transformation in the way I approach food. I no longer think of things in terms of good and bad, and while 95% of my diet is still made up of "healthy" choices, I don't fear the occasional indulgence like I once did. When I read your (Adee's) initial advertisement that stated you ate ice cream every day and still had abs, I thought that must be bullsh*t. Turns out I now do the exact same thing! My time with WAG has also helped me to develop a true passion for coaching others and providing nutritional guidance. Over the last 6 months, I've managed to create a nutrition group at my gym and helped guide a small group of about 30 people to some very similar results to what I have achieved, almost exclusively using the knowledge I've gained working with my coach at WAG. I guess its my small way of paying it forward. Honestly I could go on for days about how incredible this experience has been, but I'm going to stop here for fear of rambling on. Thank you so much to my coach Francesco and everyone at WAG, and I wish you all continued success with everything you do in the future!
