I joined WAG in March of 2023 because I wanted to fully commit myself to getting better at weightlifting and I knew nutrition would play a big part in that. I was so lucky to be paired with Amy. She's been with me through wanting to cut to change weight classes, to getting injured and wanting to maintain. She has solid advice for any issue I'm facing and always puts a positive spin on anything I view as a "failure." Because of her, I've learned that long term consistency is way more significant than any slip ups along the way.

I've learned so much about myself and what is important to me over the past year. I never could have known how much this past year would change me. Not just through the ups and downs that come with the mental side of weightlifting, but also nutrition. I've learned that once macro counting becomes second nature, life gets a lot easier. I feel like I could truly make ANY food fit my macros if it's something that seems worth it to me.

I recently finished my third weightlifting competition and placed 3rd in the Women's Masters category, qualifying to compete at the North American Open. I still have a lot of work to do and a lot more I want to accomplish, but I'm so excited about how far I've come.
