To lean out while still maintaining good strength and endurance, better fuel my body
I came to WAG as someone that was already in pretty good shape, eating a fairly healthy diet and as a physician a good understanding a typical healthy diet. Regardless of this I was finding that I while increasing my work out intensity I was not properly fueling my body and was not happy with my body composition. Additionally, with a busy work schedule I would be left with periods of time where I would be skipping meals rather than fueling myself with the nutrition it needed. While I felt I knew the medical aspect of nutrition I knew that I needed some assistance in order to have a better approach to leaning out while maintaining performance, so I turned to WAG.
From the onset with WAG, I was extremely impressed with the combination of the community approach and the personalized attention. My coach, Hiliary, was enthusiastic and easy to reach from the beginning. My diet was tweaked and she was always there to help me adjust to the changes. I immediately noticed an increase in my energy level; my body was quickly changing, and I was seeing improvements in my performance. My already strong aerobic base was increasing with additional carbs and my strength was being maintained. I was also feeling better throughout my work day. Hiliary was able to help me adjust so I was able to get all my macros in adequately on busy days in the operating room so I could be more balanced.
The most important thing that WAG has done is changed my overall outlook on nutrition. The flexibility that this program provides is unlike other nutrition programs in that it gives YOU the control. The empowerment that WAG provides changes the mindset of a being on a “diet” to formulating positive lifestyle and a positive relationship with food that is enjoyable, successful but also sustainable. However, the thing I most love is something that I never expected from WAG, this same empowerment is extended beyond well beyond nutrition to all aspects of their clients lives. WAG shows their clients that not only can they take ownership of their nutrition but they have the ability to become the best versions of themselves day in and day out. WAG inspires their clients that they have the strength to take control of their lives, that they have the capability to become healthier, and fitter, that they have the power to become the person they want to be. This is done through the WAG community, through blogs, and through the emails with the coaches. While I started this program with fitness goals and nutrition goals (which WAG has helped me achieve), I have gained so much more. I cannot wait to continue this journey with WAG and my coach Hiliary as I become the healthiest, fittest, strongest, and best all around version of myself I can be.
