My goal was to become a little leaner and to eat to fuel better performance in the gym. I have lost 10 lbs so far!
WAG has been beneficial in helping me understand my relationship with food. I recognize my body's need for fuel for performance and what improves my work in the gym and my recovery. Even though I've lost weight/size over my time in the program I'm actually eating more food than I was previously (and certainly better quality- and at the same time learning to manage my macros to include foods I enjoy!).
While the physical changes have been good, I am really excited by continuing to set PRs in strength and also endurance; I feel like a better, happier, more well-rounded athlete overall. My coach has been helpful in not only my intake/macros but reminding me the benefits of stress management (I have a really busy schedule that is quite demanding sometimes!) and recovery in my pursuit of overall physical wellness.
It is so helpful to have someone to check-in with and who is incredibly supportive and thoughtful in this vulnerable process. I am glad I started WAG and now have a much better set of tools to support my overall health and wellness goals going forward!
