Prior to starting WAG, I tried flexible dieting on my own, but I could never stay committed to the process, and I always felt like I needed some guidance along the way. After a ton of inconsistency and not much improvement, I knew that I needed to ask for help by hiring a coach to guide me and hold me accountable. I was a master stress eater, and I could easily eat my bodyweight in burgers and dark chocolate when I was feeling stressed or overwhelmed. The two years prior to starting WAG was filled with stress (both good and bad), and I found myself at my heaviest weight in years, and my performance in and out of the gym was truly suffering. Contacting WAG was one of the best decisions I've ever made in my life.

I must admit that my first week with WAG was horrifying. The idea of having to weigh and track everything that I consumed was daunting, and left me irritable, mentally exhausted, and wanting to throw my food scale and smartphone out the window. But, I stuck with it and trusted my coach and the process. My second week with WAG was much easier, and I came to enjoy the simple process of weighing and tracking my food. I quickly realized how poorly I was fueling myself prior to WAG, and my relationship with food quickly changed. I now view food as a delicious source of fuel, not a way to drown my stress (no matter how incredible the chocolate tastes). Now, I'm even more mindful during the process of cooking and eating, which was something that I struggled with prior to WAG - embarrassingly, despite following mindfulness and meditation devoutly for over 20 years!

Within four weeks of starting WAG, I had already met my bodyweight goal and exceeded the performance goals that I set for myself, and my self-confidence was back stronger than ever. With the guidance of my coach, I set new goals and proceeded to shed even more weight than I imagined I was capable of losing while also increasing my strength. I kept PR'ing my lifts and bodyweight movements, and each workout seemed easier the longer I stayed consistent with tracking my macros. I now eat the best food I have ever eaten in my life. Physically, my energy levels and body composition (I have abs!) keep improving each week. Mentally (and this is the most important to me), I am at my healthiest and most confident.

My WAG coach (Mel) isn't just a nutrition coach, she is also a therapist and huge motivator, making me realize the behavioral aspects of my approach to eating. Without her guidance and accountability, I truly believe that I wouldn't have been able to meet and exceed my goals as well as I did, in addition to dramatically improving my overall relationship with food. WAG works!
