My number one goal is performance! I love competing in CrossFit. I was extremely 'carbo-phobic' but I also knew I needed to incorporate carbs into my diet to improve my performance. I am also a hard gainer and have struggled with being too thin all of my life. I had not had any success in gaining weight so that is my number two goal. I also want to say that I'm not your typical athlete, I am a grandmother to six beautiful grandchildren, so I feel like I represent a different type individual seeking out a sound nutrition program. My weight has stayed the same but my photos tell the story. It's very clear that I have gained muscle and lost my 'skinny fat'. I trust my coach when she tells me that I will begin to gain weight.
Becoming a member of WAG has been a very important part of the progress I have made as a Master CrossFit athlete. My performance has improved noticeably, both in skill and in strength. I sleep better, have more overall energy, and find that I am even more emotionally resilient. (I just wanted to explain that in the collage photo of the photos I uploaded, the image of me on the left is my very first check-in, the image on the right is my 8th check in. What a difference! Amy has done an amazing job with me, both on the nutrient/macros programming and on being a wonderful support person!
