I'd struggled with weight my whole life and after I got out of the military things spun out of control and I weighed a peek weight of 230 pounds. With the help of CrossFit I was able to get down to 200 pounds. Over a year ago I was having a conversation with my lifting partner about the progress he made and the idea behind flexible dieting, he ended up showing me his 3-month transformation picture and it was powerfully motivating. At around this same time I started to really get into the sport of Olympic Weightlifting, by weight classification I was a 90kg lifter... lifting some not so big numbers, comparatively. I made the decision from there that WAG was the way to go to help me get into a more competitive weight class, feel more confident in my body, and most importantly how I felt about myself.
WAG has been absolutely amazing! Its been one of the easiest and most effective tools for weight loss I've ever done. With most "diets" I feel like almost from the start you are set up for failure based on having to restrict certain foods, with WAG everything is game..... with moderation of course.
The skills I have developed over the last year have been the most valuable in my success with WAG. Consistency of hitting my numbers, being honest with my coach about what I'm eating and more importantly being honest with MYSELF. My coach has been there every step of the way helping me develop and sharpen my skills for the long-term grains!
