- 1 slice of bread toasted (I used Schar gluten free sourdough)
- 110g Cottage Cheese ( I used full fat)
- 5g Momofuku chili crunch oil (any chili oil can work here)
- 4g honey
I love anything on toast and was looking for something with more protein to add to my breakfast routine. The result of my experimentations resulted in this sweet and spicy cottage cheese toast.
While it is not super high in protein it does have a good balance of protein, carbs and fat.
A lot of people just throw cottage cheese into a bowl and eat it, so I thought showing a different way to use it would be fun! I tend to like lots of flavor so adding a chili oil along with some honey helps give this a sweet and spicy kick.
You can tailor this by using full fat or nonfat cottage cheese and choosing the bread you enjoy most.
