My goal was to get back in shape after the birth of my son while continuing to nourish my body to support breastfeeding.
I've lost 7 lbs.
I’m a busy working mom of 3 boys. In my spare time (what is that?!) I try to stay in decent enough shape to compete in a few CrossFit comps each year. After the birth of my son about 5 months ago, I needed help finding balance to get back in shape, while also having enough energy to support breastfeeding. I saw that I was developing some unhealthy habits, my weight loss had stalled and I lacked confidence in navigating how I could lose body fat while continuing to nurse. My biggest hurdle is consistency.
My coach, Alex, helped me stay on track, reminding me that I can still enjoy the foods I love (sometimes!) while working toward my goals. She helped me to see that consistency rather than perfection will make for gradual progress. At the beginning of my 12-week commitment, I made some performance-related goals. I met and surpassed them all! Most importantly, I’m still nursing my son - the longest I’ve been able to breastfeed any of my 3 children. I’m not the leanest I’ve ever been, but that’s fine because I’m more comfortable in my skin than I was 4 months ago, performing well in the gym and feeding my baby!
