My goal was performance nutrition to help my training for the CrossFit age group qualifier.
I didn't go into this with the specific goal of losing weight. But as I started working with my coach to dial in my nutrition to support my training, excess weight melted off. The great thing was that it never reduced my energy or strength.
I think everyone needs to try this - especially women my age who are under the false belief that they can't lose weight or put on muscle because of age, hormones, menopause, etc. My workouts didn't change. All that changed was my nutrition. My coach identified the right balance of macros that supported my workouts without adding unnecessary weight. Tracking was fun and easy and I never felt hungry or deprived.
My coach Ivette has been wonderful. We are such a good match! She is also a master's athlete, so she understands my training goals. She keeps a close eye on my daily logs so if things change, she is in contact with me to make adjustments.
