Improve overall fitness and dial in my nutrition to gain lean muscle mass. I wanted to balance my body in symmetry and strength and expand my athletic capabilities.
Overall review of the program: I was a skeptic when I first got my numbers. I had come from a macro based plan before so it wasn't a shock to how I operated, but seeing the same numbers for every day knowing that some of those would be rest days was concerning. My coach Hillary did a lot of hand holding the first week as I ramped up my fiber numbers and embraced the refeed day (with 100 extra grams of carbs!). But that's when everything started clicking. I was looking at food differently, I was being more conscientious about the decisions I was making around food, and my stress levels were dropping. I don't freak out when we go to a restaurant anymore or take a "macros don't count" approach. I lost my rigidity and am learning to embrace balance - with food and so many other aspects of my life. Can't wait to see what the next 6 weeks bring!
