Increase strength and improve body composition
I NEVER thought that my results would amount to what they have. I have lost over 16 lbs, 2.75" from my chest, 4.5" from my waist, and 3" from my butt. Though I'm still striving to get that bigger, more muscular booty and thighs, I am so proud of my results. As well as visual improvements, after only 2 months, I lost 7.5% body fat! I had always hovered anywhere from 23%-25% with Paleo dieting, thinking this would help me, and the most recent results were at 18.3%!!!
The other huge difference from past dieting is that my gym performance has greatly improved. I have been hitting PRs almost weekly, and my metcons are much faster! My goals were to he faster and stronger, and I have definitely met those goals, with all intention of going further.
In 4 months, I had a few "screw it" moments. The last 2 were Christmas eve and Christmas day, in which both day's binge eating left me extremely uncomfortable and it took forever for me to fall asleep because I hurt so badly. From those days, I learned that I had no control whatsoever. I knew that I should have been mindful, but I took advantage, and it bit me in the butt. I vow to no longer say "screw it". If I get to a point where I don't want to count, I will be mindful, and remember the awful feeling I had on Christmas.
This program isn't just about food. It's about your goals, physically and mentally. With weekly "homework" exercises, I have been challenged to go deep within myself and really assess what I am feeling, what my goals are, and how certain situations make me feel. These mental exercises have shown me so much about myself; like built in therapy!
All this being said, I am extremely grateful for the guidance that WAG has provided me and for the awesome inspiration that the other WAG members give me every day in the Facebook group. WAG has been an eye opener, a game-changer, and I absolutely love being a part of it!
