These healthy homemade tortillas are quick and easy to make! With only four ingredients found in almost every kitchen, these are a great addition to a Mexican night or as a wrap for sandwiches.
Recipe note: If the dough is too sticky, add flour a TBS at a time, kneading after each tablespoon until the dough turns smooth. If the dough is too dry add water a TBS at a time. Knead the dough after each tablespoon until the dough picks up the flour on the surface and turns smooth.
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Stir until the ingredients come together and make a ball.
- Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead until smooth.
- Let the dough rest for 10 minutes.
- Heat a pan over medium-high heat.
- Divide the dough into 56g portions and roll each portion into a ball about 2 ½ inches in diameter.
- On a lightly floured surface roll out each dough ball into a round shape with your preferred thickness.
- Place the tortilla in the pan and cook for approximately one minute on each side or until light golden brown spots begin to form on the tortilla.
- As you cook your tortillas, stack them on a plate and cover with a towel to keep them warm.
