Initially, I joined to lose weight, get lean, and get stronger with running and CrossFit. I also wanted to learn more about fueling my body for the mileage and work I was demanding from it without feeling like I was starving. I've lost about 6 lbs.
WAG has helped me physically but also emotionally. I find myself making more thoughtful choices, having a better relationship with food, and not feeling guilty for having that cookie or chocolate when I want. My amazing coach has helped me see that the work we are doing goes beyond changing that number on the scale; I’m making decisions that are proving to be lasting and am now equipped with strategies to ensure that my body is getting what it needs. Sometimes I feel like I should have lost more weight after doing WAG for a year but am reminded that everyone’s progress is and looks different, and my coach is always so supportive and great in helping me put things into perspective.
