My initial goal was to lose weight and gain my confidence back. I have lost a total of 32 pounds and gained a WHOLE lot of confidence.


WAG has given me so much more than getting back into shape. It has changed my relationship with food, helped me create a positive mindset and to find balance in all aspects of my life.

For as long as I can remember I had an emotional relationship with food. I would binge to try and cope with my emotions but then punish myself for overindulging too. It dictated how I interacted with friends and family as well as my overall mood. There was no happy balance and my life felt like it was controlled by what I would and wouldn't eat. For a woman in her mid 20's, it was completely terrifying thinking that this was how it was always going to be. But over two and a half years and multiple half marathons and two marathons, I learned that not only is food fuel for my body but I can have a positive relationship with it. I slowly learned to stop focusing on what I looked like and channel my energy into how I was feeling and what was fueling me. I feel I now have the freedom to eat without guilt because I have a true understanding of what I am putting into my body.

My coach has been my biggest cheerleader and has stayed so patient while I learn these valuable lessons. Truly without her or WAG I probably would be stuck in the same cycle I was two and a half years ago.
