I can honestly say joining this program has been one of the best things I've ever done for myself. It has changed my life in a positive way in such a short amount of time. I initially joined WAG because one of my friends from my gym had incredible weight loss success from the program and encouraged me to join. Although I didn't feel like I had a lot of weight to lose, I was discouraged that with all of the hard work I putting in at the gym every day, including back-to-back training sessions, endurance work and heavy lifting, it wasn't visibly showing in my appearance. My initial thought was to join WAG for a few months and see what happened. I don't think I ever envisioned the results I've seen, and especially not in such a short amount of time! I also don't plan on leaving anytime soon.

I've been on every diet in the book over the years (Watchers, Atkins, Zone, Paleo, etc.). All of them helped me get my weight down in some way, but none were sustainable long term. I also always gave myself a cheat day once a week and as I've found out recently was just undoing all of the progress I had worked all week to achieve. I have told so many people that I feel like WAG is the easiest "diet" I've ever been on. And I say "diet" in quotes because I don't feel like I'm dieting at all. I actually enjoy planning out my meals each day and love it that I can ultimately eat whatever I want as long as I plan for it.

The biggest benefit I see to this program has ultimately been the coaching. While I was on the WAG wait list, I used an online calculator to get an idea for what my macros should be and followed it for those 12 weeks. My numbers now are pretty close to the numbers I was using before, but each week instead of a refeed and tracking my macros, I would just go crazy eating whatever I wanted. My coach Hillary has been incredibly helpful in bringing to light that I was undoing my hard work by doing that, and if I wanted to see a change I needed to adjust my habits from what wasn't working in the past. I can always rely on her to tell me exactly what I need to hear. Sometimes it may not be the answer I want, but it's the right answer and is ultimately what has led me to the progress I have achieved thus far. Other times I've found that I'm being too hard on myself and need another person's unbiased perspective. Her guidance and encouragement has been invaluable to me and I look forward to our weekly check-ins! I can't wait to see what the future holds and the changes that will result in the next 11 weeks!
