Racquel has been an athlete her entire life. At the age of six Racquel started competitive cheerleading,
the apex of which was winning a world championship in 2006. When cheerleading, basketball, soccer,
and track and field came to an end in college, she tried to fill the void. At first she went to a recreational
gym to stay fit, but she still yearned for competition. That’s when she discovered Crossfit . It was there
that she also discovered her love for lifting heavy weights. In order to take her performance to the next
level she sought out WAG for some nutritional guidance. Unexpectedly, she found herself going through
a huge paradigm shift in thinking as she went from being embarrassed about her body to feeling
confident and healthy in her own skin. This new mentality sparked a passion to show and help others
achieve their goals both mentally and physically.
Racquel was also an elementary school teacher for several years. Those skill sets coupled with her
knowledge base make her a dynamic, patient, and creative coach. Outside of the gym you can find her
reading/listening to anything about nutrition or psychology. She is always trying different recipes in the
kitchen, and trying to convince her military swolemate that it is time for them to get a puppy!
