Should You Start Intermittent Fasting? (WAG Q&A Ep. 34)
In this week’s episode, Adee answers several questions from WAG fans. Here’s what’s covered:
“Should I track my chewing gum?”
When it comes to tracking your chewing gum, it really depends on how excessive your habit is. Casually chewing on a piece on the way to work might count for 5 calories, or 1 g of carbs. Turn that into a full pack a day, and the numbers add up.
“Is intermittent fasting worth it?”
As for intermittent fasting, there are a lot of great benefits, and it’s easy to adopt. It creates a set of rules to follow for a restricted eating time, but if you’re on the fence because of your level of fitness throughout the day, that’s important to consider. Check out this podcast with Dr. Satchin Panda for a more extensive dive into time-restricted eating.
“I started overeating, and now I can’t stop.”
Once you’ve started overeating, it can turn into a bit of a rabbit hole behavior. The most important thing to remember is that you’re not alone. One of the best things you can do is talk to someone close to you to help you through it, or cleanse certain things out of your environment that may be triggering you to go back to that comfort that can be found in food.
